Glory day for the Blues.
On the occasion of the third World Cup stage in Hochfilzen, Austria, the French men's team pulled out all the stops for the pursuit race (12.5 km).
Quentin Fillon Maillet, in the top 10 in the sprint on Friday, this time largely dominated the day's race, claiming the seventh victory of his career.
Almost a year ago to the day, on December 12, 2020, the 29-year-old biathlete had already been crowned, in the same place, in front of another French… Emilien Jacquelin (26 years old).
The latter also did it again this Saturday, offering himself a good second place.
Very close to completing the podium, and offering an incredible hat-trick to the Habs, Simon Desthieux (30) was finally overtaken by the Swede Sebastian Samuelsson by a few millimeters.
YES, QUENTIN, HE IS PHENOMENAL!

This victory for Quentin Fillon Maillet, carried by a near-flawless shooting (only one error), is a great revenge a week after the nightmare of the pursuit of Östersund, in Sweden.
The Frenchman finished in sixteenth place after a fall in a descent that had broken his rifle in two.
