The Syrian national football team lost against its Yemeni counterpart today, with a goal against two goals, in the semi-final round of the West Asian Junior Championships held in Saudi Arabia.
Yemen opened the scoring in the 52nd minute through Abdul Rahman Khader, and our team equalized in the 69th minute through Kawa Issa.
It is noteworthy that our team opened its campaign by losing against its UAE counterpart with a goal of four goals, while it defeated its Palestinian counterpart with six goals without a response, and qualified for the semi-finals by obtaining the best second place at the end of the first round of the three groups in the championship.
