Author of the superb first goal of his team, the French striker allowed Real to consolidate his place as leader of La Liga.

A magnificent volley to continue to bring Real Madrid to the top.

Author of the superb first goal of the victory (2-0) of Carlo Ancelotti's men against Atlético in the Madrid derby on Sunday night, Karim Benzema continues his momentum this season.

The French striker, who turns 34 on Sunday night, has 13 goals in 16 league games, making him La Liga's top scorer.

Hit in the leg and released after a quarter of an hour of play against Real Sociedad a week earlier, the fourth in the last ranking of the Ballon d'Or justified the confidence of his coach to start him against the Colchoneros.

The former Lyonnais, well served by Vinicius, deceived Jan Oblak on his left with a well controlled volley in the sixteenth minute of play. As a precaution, Carlo Ancelotti made him leave at the break of a meeting that Real sealed in the 57th with a second achievement signed Marco Asensio.

"Unstoppable", headlines the Madrid sports daily Marca, dedicating its front page to Karim Benzema.

The newspaper considers that the player and his teammates Courtois, Alaba, Militao, Kroos, Modric and Vinicius are playing at "an exceptional level".

As, another benchmark sports media in the capital, also uses the term “unstoppable” but in the plural to evoke the strength of this collective which remains on ten victories in a row in all competitions.

The newspaper also puts Karim Benzema in the front page this Monday morning.
