The greatest sniper of all time: Stephen Kerry has become the pinnacle of NBA threes

Steph Kerry is the greatest threesome scorer ever, and now it's official: On a festive and emotional evening at Madison Square Garden in the presence of his parents and in the presence of Ray Allen who was stripped of the title, the Golden State star broke the all-time threes record, with 5 threes and 22 threes marching the Warriors to a 96 victory 105 on the Knicks.
After tonight's historic game, Kerry stands at 2,978 career threes - five more than Allen who held the record for a decade.
Kerry came into the game needing just two threes to shatter the record, and did not need much time to do so.
He scored the first three just over a minute from the start, and the big moment came 7:33 to the end of the first quarter, when he sniped a typical three well beyond the three-point line.
In the next offense Golden State committed a deliberate offense and took a time-out to celebrate the special moment, as Kerry squeezes huge applause from the crowd in "The Blow of Basketball," gets a warm hug from his parents, and also receives congratulations from Alan and Margie Miller, two of the greatest scenes ever. They went to New York to pay their respects.

In fact, this is the highest three-pointer ever for games in the regular season, but even in the playoffs, Kerry is already the undisputed ruler of the greatest sniper title of all time.
He holds the record for threes in the playoffs (470) and also scored the most threes in the final series (121).
After breaking the record, Kerry and the Warriors looked a little confused but managed to stay calm enough to record their fourth win in the last five games and climb to a 5:23 balance, the best in the NBA.
Kerry finished with 22 points (8 of 19 from the field, 5 of 14 from three) along with 3 rebounds and 3 assists, while Jordan Paul (19 points), Andrew Wiggins (18) and Raymond Green (8, 11 rebounds, 7 Assists and 3 blocking assists.
