The latest commitment from EC Peiting will certainly not lead to a relaxed relationship with neighboring TSV Peißenberg.

The new one will make his debut on Friday in Landsberg.

Peiting

- For some time now, EC Peiting has been intensively sounding out the player market for a replacement for Daniel Reichert, who will be out for at least three months due to his hand injury.

Now the league team has also found what it is looking for - at the neighboring TSV Peißenberg.

Dominic Krabbat, who has been one of the top performers at the ECP for many years, has been playing for the Bayern league team this season.

After taking a complete break in the past season due to corona, the 34-year-old striker joined the "Miners" in the summer, where he immediately advanced to the top three scorers at the Peißenberg team with 15 goals and 16 assists in 16 games.

I didn't decide against Peißenberg, but for myself.

Dominic Krabbat

"We are pleased that Dominic is returning from Peißenberg," said ECP team manager Gordon Borberg.

"We are currently suffering from a somewhat tense personnel situation and are sure that he will help us," continued Borberg.

The green light was also given by Krabbat's employer, who, in contrast to the previous season, gave the go-ahead.

"I didn't decide against Peißenberg, but for myself," says Krabbat about his move, which, however, causes annoyance among the "Miners".

I understand that the Peißenbergers are angry, but we didn't poach Dominic.

Peiting's trainer Anton Saal

"I am disappointed with him and with the ECP," said "Miners" trainer Christian Kratzmeir. "I'm used to when you give your word that you stick to it," said Kratzmeir, who is annoyed about the short-term departure of his service provider. “Miners” boss became even clearer: “This is a slap in the face for us,” Lisa Steidl is quoted on the Peißenberg website. "I understand that the Peißenbergers are angry, but we didn't poach Dominic," ECP coach Anton Saal tried to smooth things over. “We started a conversation and then it just happened like that,” reported Saal. “When Sinan Ondörtoglu last moved back to Peißenberg, we didn't open a barrel,” adds Saal. Of course he's glad to have had such an experienced player."Dominic wants to prove himself to us and maybe the successes in the Bayernliga will give him a push", says the ECP coach, who plans his returnee in the second row.

Ice hockey: Dominic Krabbat is celebrating his comeback at the EC Peiting in Landsberg

Krabbat celebrates his comeback this Friday in a guest appearance at HC Landsberg (8 p.m.), who last surprised with a 5: 3 home win against Deggendorf.

“They'll bite and fight and try everything,” Saal expects at the eleventh place in the table, a difficult task for his team, which won the first leg against the HCL 4-2.

Ice hockey: Anton Saal fondly remembers the guest appearance at SC Riessersee

Against SC Riessersee, which comes to Peiting on Sunday (6 p.m.), the ECP decided the first settlement in its favor.

"That was a good away game for us", Saal fondly remembers the 7-3 success that set the Werdenfelsers down in motion.

The Riesserseer then got only two wins in the following eight games, which puts them in eighth place in the table.

“The SCR is a lucky bag.

You never know whether he will get support from Munich, ”says Saal, who sees the Garmisch-Partenkirchner heavily dependent on the deposition of the DEL table leader.

Should the support at the derby in Peiting, where spectators are again allowed, turn out to be lavish and the SCR should play with four rows, Saal also wants to play with four storm formations.

Ice hockey: Manuel Bartsch is back in the storm

This is made possible by the return of Krabbat and Alex Winkler, who was recently ill.

This means that Manuel Bartsch, who last had to help out in defense, can move back into the attack.

In addition, the U20 players, who are only in action on Saturday, are available.

There may be a few short-term failures, as some players recently had a cold.

Coach Saal doesn't want this to be an excuse.

"After the short dry spell, we really want to score, to do that we just have to play and concentrate on the essentials," he wrote in his team's studbook.
