SC Riessersee was able to end its dry spell in front of a home crowd, clearly defeating a weak EV Füssen with 6: 2.

SCR talent Anselm Gerg celebrated his first goal in the ice hockey Oberliga Süd.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen -

323 spectators, a tranquil backdrop on Friday evening in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Olympic ice sports center.

But no wonder in times of the corona pandemic and in view of the restrictions imposed by the 2G-plus rule, including distances and mask requirements.

But at least the 323 present got plenty of goals and after almost two months of waiting a home win for SC Riessersee was offered again.

The white-blue defeated EV 6: 2.

SCR turns the game within 67 seconds

After the first few minutes, one could have guessed that the bottom of the league would also go home with a win in the end. Weakly defending hosts granted the Füssen goal number one that evening (4th). The alarm clock for the SCR? No. Füssen initially booked the better chances without having to offer particularly strong ice hockey. But gradually the home team caught up and equaled in minute eleven directly. Michael Knaub refueled on the outside lane, played into the center just before the guest gate and found Anselm Gerg. And the 17-year-old young talent steered the disc out of the turmoil into the net - his first goal. And the hosts’s second goal was not long in coming.Just 67 seconds later, Benjamin Kronawitter was cheering while lying down - that's exactly how he scored the goal. Then both teams collected a few unnecessary penalties, lost the thread and said goodbye to the third break.

Riessersee increases, but then wants to make it too beautiful

Back on the ice, Füssen gave Robin Soudek a lot of space. And he thought to himself: “If I am not attacked, I will sink the puck into the goal.” The pane struck in the top left, just as EV goalie Benedikt Hötzinger released this corner. Now the hosts dominated, gave the guests hardly any air to breathe and came to one chance after the other. The next used Aziz Ehliz after preparatory work by Knaub to 4-1. But instead of continuing to play as before, the white-blue team then lacked the necessary determination and wanted to shine instead of continuing to play simple and effective ice hockey. The three points were never really in danger against weak and playfully extremely limited guests, but the SCR failed to pull Füssen's teeth at this stage. He also made a mistake on the defensive. Filip Hadamczik was the last man to lose the disc and Füssen shortened to 4: 2.

SCR fans sing for the team

But that should no longer take revenge.

In the final third, the guests tried hard to find a way to get there again, but failed.

On the other hand, Christoph Eckl made the decision by going it alone on the left side - 5: 2.

It didn't help anymore that Füssen ordered the goalkeeper to the bench five minutes before the end and swapped it for a sixth field player.

Instead, Alexandre Perron-Fontaine sent the disc from his own third on the long journey towards the orphaned goal.

The 6: 2 and at the same time the final point behind this largely one-sided game.

And so the SCR was able to celebrate three important counters together with its fans and also received a nice Christmas greeting in the form of the song "Kling Glöckchen, Klingelingeling" along the way.
