The ice hockey players of the EC Peiting have a six-point weekend to show again after a long period of time.

The ECP deservedly won the derby against SC Riessersee on Sunday evening.

Peiting - Gordon Borberg ordered, the players delivered: The team manager of EC Peiting had predicted a 4-2 win against SC Riessersee on Sunday before the Oberliga derby. With exactly this result, coach Anton Saal's men won the home game. And it deserves it because of a concentrated effort. “Basically, I'm satisfied,” said Saal, also referring to the win in Friday's game against Landsberg.

On Sunday evening, however, the goal scoring of the Peitinger after 20 minutes - measured by the number of good opportunities - was not satisfactory. "I hope that two or three more go in," said ECP defender Christoph Frankenberg in the "Sprade TV" break interview. After each ricochet, Ty Morris (4th) and Thomas Heger (16th) missed the goal. Fabian Weyrich's full shot (10th) and Marco Habermann's “peasant trick” (11th) did not bring any success. There were also numerous other situations in which Riessersee's keeper Daniel Allavena was challenged.

The ECP managed to score at least one goal in the first third. In the power play, Nardo Nagtzaam showed an overview, he brought the disc in front of the goal, where Lukas Gohlke stood undisturbed. He skillfully steered the puck into the goal (18th) to make it 1-0. The lead was well deserved: The ECP played straightforward, compact and repeatedly forced the SCR to make mistakes in the build-up of the game. Only once did the guests come dangerously in front of the Peitinger Tor, which Andreas Magg guarded yesterday with confidence - David Seidl failed from close range (16th). Peiting's keeper Florian Hechenrieder was literally "cleared" on Friday evening in the game against Landsberg. Although he expressed his willingness to play on Sunday, Saal did not take any chances. “We have other good goalkeepers. And Andreas did well today, ”said the coach.

EC Peiting misses the best chances in the first third

In the second third, the Garmisch-Partenkircheners were much more committed.

In the first few minutes, the guests came dangerously in front of the gate a few times.

The big problem with the SCR, however, was the penalty times.

Two players had to sit on the bench within a few seconds.

Peiting did not miss this chance: Andreas Feuerecker scored twice over with a full shot to make it 2-0 (26th).

A mishap by Maximilian Söll - he had slipped away - gave Michael Knaub a solo effort, which he completed to 1: 2 (28th).

Immediately afterwards, the goalscorer received a two-plus-two penalty.

The ECP could not use the four-minute excess to a hit;

Eetu-Ville Arkiomaa gave the best chance.

New signing Dominic Krabbat scores his second goal

Then a moment of shock when Riessersee's Felix Linden got the puck in his face from a short distance - he drove bleeding from the ice. Riessersee had to accept another penalty; The home side took advantage of this: Feuerecker scored the 3: 1 (36th) with a low shot. A good minute later, Dominic Krabbat switched the fastest when the puck was on the line after a long-range shot and maneuvered the target to make it 4-1 (37th). Riessersee did not give up: Top scorer Robin Soudek - not significantly disturbed - shortened to 2: 4 (38th) with a flick. A few moments before that, Heger had just missed the fifth Peitinger goal.

In the final third, the home team proved their skills in penalty killing four times, leaving hardly any chances. “Compliments, you played it really well,” Saal praised his actors. On top of that, she had the best opportunities. Nagtzaam (45th, 52nd), Heger (51st,) and Arkiomaa (54th) each awarded just under. So it stayed exciting, but nothing changed in the result. Unfortunately, there was also bad news: Manuel Bartsch suffered a cruciate ligament rupture in training last week - the season is over for him.

Statistics: 1st third: 1-0 (17:37) Gohlke (Nagtzaam, Krabbat / 5-4).

2nd third: 2: 0 (25:08) Feuerecker (Nagtzaam, Morris / 5-3), 2: 1 (27:03) Knaub (Kircher), 3: 1 (35:25) Feuerecker (Morris, Heger / 5-4), 4: 1 (36:49) Krabbat (Arkiomaa, Nagtzaam), 4: 2 (37:50) Soudek (Eckl, Kircher).

Third third: no goals.

Penalty minutes: Peiting 10, Riessersee 16. Referee: Erdle;
