The handball players from Norway have won the world championship title for the fourth time.
The European champion won the final against Olympic champion France on Sunday in Granollers, Spain, thanks to an increase in performance in the second half 29:22 (12:16), previously the Scandinavians had secured World Cup gold in 1999, 2011 and 2015.
With its fourth title, Norway moved tied to Germany in second place in the all-time list of the best - the GDR won three of the four gold medals.

The hosts had turned off the German selection in the quarter-finals (26:21).
For the Danes it was the first medal at a major event since 2013. At that time, too, there was a World Cup bronze medal in Serbia.
