Upon his return to the golf course, Tiger Woods was happy - and at the end of his tether.
“That was only my fourth or fifth round this year.
I'm a bit exhausted, "said the US superstar after his appearance at a father-child tournament in Orlando the TV channel NBC," it was good that we had a golf cart.
For the 45-year-old it was the first appearance at a tournament since his car accident in February, in which he suffered serious leg injuries.
"I still have my leg, which was questionable for a while, and it works," said Woods. "I'm just happy and grateful to be able to."
In order to protect his leg, so that he cannot put full weight back on, Woods sat down in the golf cart with his 14-year-old daughter Sam and girlfriend Erica after each stroke and drove after his ball.
His twelve year old son Charlie walked the golf course.
"I took two or three good strokes today that went exactly the way I wanted them," said Woods on Saturday.
He also lacks a lot of stamina.
He managed one of these good strokes on the third hole when he hit his golf ball directly on the flag from a good 200 meters.
Without a bogey to the goal
There was almost a happy ending at the PNC Championship.
Woods finished the two rounds at the side of his son Charlie with 25 strokes under par, only John Daly and John Daly II were better (-27).
“Our goal was to stay without bogeys.
We didn’t subvert, ”said Woods, long-time world number one.
