After strong competitions, with the participation of 168 players who represented 22 clubs and training centers, the kickboxing tournament was concluded in the Tishreen Hall in Damascus.
The results of the championship in the junior category resulted in Qudsaya Club winning first place with 4 golds, followed by Al-Jaish Club with 3 golds and a gold in the first place repeated within a weight of 47 kg. Al Areen Club came in third place with a gold, while Al Areen Club came first in the Cubs category with 3 golds, followed by Fusion Center with a gold And bronze, and the center of Lyon came in third with gold and bronze duplicates.
As for the cub category, it was concluded with the victory of Fighter Gym Center with 5 golds, leaving the runners-up to Shabiba Qatna with 3 silvers, then Qudsaya Club with silver and bronze. The first place in the women’s category went to Shabiba Qatna with gold and two bronzes, Al-Jaish Club came second with gold and bronze, and Al-Hassan third with gold.
A member of the Kickboxing Federation and the tournament supervisor, Khaled Al-Hajji, said in a statement to SANA that the competitions were strong, although they included young age groups, as the players had a clear desire to prove their worth on the matches in order to win the championship of their weights to be among the options of kickboxing experts in the next stage, which It will be the start of a new path in their sports life, as he described it.
Al-Hajji added, “We have seen good techniques from a number of talented players, which bodes well for the coming days, especially that the game is witnessing a remarkable development and a great demand for its practice, expecting that these talents will be heroes of the game in the future once it is optimally prepared.”
A number of players expressed their happiness to participate in this tournament, as it gave them the opportunity to compete in the atmosphere of competition and friction with the rest of the players from various centers and training clubs, thus giving them more experience, expressing their willingness to contest more tournaments and compete vigorously to win medals at the local and external levels.
