Big surprise in the pool.
Eitan Ben Sheetrit qualified this morning (Monday) for the 400 mixed final with an amazing result of 4:07:55 D - which is a new Israeli record for the youth.
This result earned Ben Sheetrit seventh overall and promotion to the final which will be held today at 17:25.
Later, Dennis Loktev did not qualify for the semifinals in the 100m freestyle.
Loktev broke his personal best with 47.86 s but that was only enough for him to finish 24th overall.
Today: Chris Pichogin in the semifinals for the 50m breaststroke and Matan Roditi in the 1500m final.
