The board of directors of the Football Leagues Administration today (Monday) approved the schedule for the 2022/2023 season.
Next season brings unique challenges to the administration due to the unusual holding of the World Cup games in November and December 2022.
During the World Cup, some of the games in the professional league competitions will be played.
These are games that will be played alongside the later stages of the World Cup, but not at the same time.
The season will open with the "European game" between the teams that qualified for the qualifying rounds of the Conference League, on July 14, 2022, when the "Champions of the Champions" game, between the champion and the trophy holder, will take place on July 16, 2022.
The Toto Cup Factory of the Stock Exchange League will open on July 30, 2022 and the Toto Cup Factory of the National League will open on August 1, 2022.
It is also stipulated that the first round of the Stock Exchange League will open on Saturday, August 20, 2022 and the first round of the National League will open on Thursday, August 18, 2022.
