Adam Silver, the NBA commissioner, addressed last night (Tuesday) for the first time the outbreak of the Corona virus in the league but as of this hour, it will continue as a series.
"There are no plans right now to stop the season," Silver said in an interview with NBA Today.
The commissioner added: "When we look through these cases that are really 'tearing up the country', not to mention the rest of the world, I think we find ourselves in a place we knew we were going to get to in the last few months. This virus will not be eradicated, and we will have to learn to live with it. .
We always measure loads with our corona tests, so this is something, again, that not only our doctors are looking at but the entire medical community.
"I think they already understand that you can get by with the 10-day isolation protocol when you have vaccinated players and receive reinforcement for the staff."
It should be noted that in the last week alone seven games in the NBA have been postponed, five in just the last three days.
At least for now, it will not affect the rest of the season.
Commissioner Adam Silver joined NBA Today to talk about COVID in the league as Christmas Day approaches.
Silver said there are currently no plans to pause the season.
