Schweinfeld added: "I feel lucky for all the years I played and could get up every day surrounded by people who love their work. Being in such a positive environment. Football opened up a whole world to me, I was in places I never thought I would be. I met amazing people on the journey. Mine and I thank everyone for the memories. "
Schoenfeld, 31, arrived in Israel in January 2016 and signed with Maccabi Netanya.
After only two games, he moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv and in his debut he scored in a derby.
He finished the season with eight league goals and signed a new contract in the summer for another four years, but the economic crisis of the Reds who went into liquidation led to a quick parting and in February 2017, after only a year, he signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
In the Yellows he played three years, contributed four league goals and was a partner in the championship in 2018/19.
In February 2020 he signed with Minnesota United from the MLS and for the past 10 months has played for Austin.
