Uri David, was fired today (Thursday) from coaching the youth team of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Dedi Ben Dayan will fill his place on the lines in the upcoming league game.
The official club announcement reads: "Maccabi Tel Aviv has decided to say goodbye to Uri David, coach of the Maccabi Tel Aviv 'Shahar' youth team. In the upcoming league game, the team will be led by Dedi Ben Dayan. We thank Uri for the time he worked at the club and wish him success."
Following the announcement of the dismissals, Adv. Shai Tal, who represents the coach, sent a letter to the director of the youth department of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Guy Zuckerman, in which he claimed that David's dismissals were due to his connections with former senior team coach Patrick Van Leven.
The letter in question from Adv. Shai Tal reads, among other things: "All of my client's sin was that he was Patrick's assistant and stayed in touch with him after he was fired from the club.
"It will be clarified that immediately after Patrick's dismissal, the club began to create a reality out of nothing in order to impeach my client's conduct and everything in order to lead to his dismissal."
