The "Miners" of TSV Peißenberg announce an entry before the duels with Erding: It is an old friend who last reliably scored goals in the major league.

Peißenberg - There were long faces at the Peißenberg "Miners" last week when Dominic Krabbat announced his departure to return to EC Peiting.

A few days before Christmas, however, the miners responsible for the mines brightened up again.

The Bayern division found a replacement for the top striker: Dejan Vogl is moving from the upper division EV Füssen to Peißenberg.

“This is the optimal solution for us,” said a delighted “Miners” coach Christian Kratzmeir.

Vogl already wore the Peißenberg jersey between 2016 and 2018, he also lives in the market town.

The now 30-year-old played for HC Landsberg for one season before joining the Füssen team in 2019.

For the Allgäu, he played 86 league games, in which he scored 29 goals and 37 assists.

Dejan Vogl stormed for the "ice hackers"

“We don't need to talk about his forward qualities. He'll help us right away, ”said Kratzmeir, pleased about the extremely ambitious attacker with whom he was still on the ice at SC Forst. The national league team was the first stop in 2011 for the native Slovenian, who was still called Pungarsek at the time, before he took his wife's name after marrying a woman from Peißenberg. In addition to the job, the family was also the decisive factor why Vogl ended his commitment in Füssen. “For me it was simply no longer feasible in terms of time with work and family”, he explains his departure from the Allgäuers, to whom he expressly thanked: “The EVF gave me the chance to play in the top league and with a traditional club. It was a great time and I wish all of you the best. "

"Miners" praise the courtesy of EV Füssen

Füssen's sporting director Andreas Becherer, who previously played for TSV Peißenberg himself, says about the change: “We understand his situation and have given permission, even if the timing is of course very unfortunate.

After all, we are in a difficult situation. ”In the Oberliga, the Füsseners are currently only on the penultimate place and are fighting for a place at least in the pre-play-offs.

This courtesy of the Füssener was very well received by the "Miners".

"That was more than just sporty from your feet," praised Kratzmeir.

This is also interesting:

two athletes from TSV Penzberg made it into the top 20 at the German cross-country championship. Cliff diver Iris Schmidbauer has again qualified for the swimming world championship. Wheel gymnast Amelie Hammer won a gold medal at the Germany Cup - as the only athlete from the Free State.

Vogl is immediately challenged at his old club, where he is also active as a junior coach.

Six games are on the program for the "Miners" over the next two weeks.

“This is now the hot phase, the 'crunchtime', in which we have to move closer together,” says Kratzmeir, making it clear how important these games are for the club.

As third, the Peißenberger are currently doing very well in the Bayernliga.

And they want to defend this good starting position.

“We have to keep collecting points”, is the clear message from the “Miners” coach.

Always hard-fought duels against Erding

The two games against the "Erding Gladiators" offer the first opportunity in the days around Christmas. Today, Thursday (8 p.m.) the duel will take place in Peißenberg, next Sunday (6 p.m.) the second leg will be on the program in Erding. On paper, the ninth table is a manageable task. "But Erding is just about to regain strength," warns Kratzmeir before taking the "gladiators", who have had enormous staffing concerns over the past few weeks, lightly. Some of the most recently injured players are fit again with the Erdingern team, and a cooperation with Oberligist Deggendorf through promotional licensed players was recently agreed. "All of the warning lights go on for me," says Kratzmeir, who remembers many hard-fought duels against Erding in the Bayern League.

In the past, the meetings of both teams always took place in front of a large crowd.

"If everything were normal, we would have 1,000 people in the stadium before Christmas," says Kratzmeir.

He is happy that at least a third of them can come to the home game on Thursday.

"I hope the fans support us and accept the effort involved in testing and wearing the FFP2 mask," says the Peißenberg trainer.

The suspended Martin Lidl, who last received a match penalty, will be missing.

The use of the ailing Tobias Estermaier is questionable.
