A young ice hockey player from Frankfurt dies after falling from serious injuries.

After a serious fall during an ice hockey game against the Rote Teufel Bad Nauheim, an 18-year-old youngster from the Löwen Frankfurt dies.
Frankfurt - After a serious sports accident, a young ice hockey player from Frankfurt * died.
18-year-old Niclas Kaus from the Löwen Frankfurt U20 team fell so unhappily against the gang during a game against the Rote Teufel Bad Nauheim on Saturday (December 18, 2021) that he sustained serious head injuries.
Rescue workers immediately took the young man to a hospital, where, according to the Löwen Frankfurt, he was immediately operated on.
Despite intensive medical care, the defender of the lions finally died on Wednesday (December 22nd, 2021), as the German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB) and its club announced the day before Christmas Eve.

The case caused great consternation in the ice hockey scene. The DEB top and national coach Toni Söderholm, as well as many professionals and clubs in the German Ice Hockey League, quickly expressed their condolences on social media. “For the family, after days of hope and fear, this is the worst thing you can imagine. The whole family is closely connected to the Löwen Frankfurt, his brother also plays in the U20 and had to witness the tragic accident. What happened makes all of us in the Löwen family infinitely sad and stunned ”, says Patrick Steingraf, sports director for the Löwen offspring.
A minute's silence has been announced for all professional games in Germany over the Christmas period.
The players in the U20 team, as well as the supervisors, coaches and everyone involved, are professionally supported in coping with the shock.
The youth sports operations in Frankfurt are suspended until further notice.
