Steven Da Costa-Romain Cannone, for all the gold in the world

Respectively Olympic karate and épée champion, Steven Da Costa and Romain Cannone had a long conversation for Le Figaro about their crazy summer, and everything that resulted from it.


One, Steven Da Costa, flew to Tokyo with favorite status for the Olympic karate title.

The other, Romain Cannone, had only obtained his starting status at the last moment, without ever having won an international epee competition.

However, both left the Japanese capital with the Grail: Olympic gold.

And three months later, karateka even doubled the pleasures by winning the second world title of his career.

In Tignes, in mid-December, the two champions gathered for the XXth edition of the Sports Stars, for which they were both sponsors.

A great opportunity to bring them together and discuss their tremendous Olympic success.
