Peißenberg / Erding - Whenever there is a small glimmer of hope among the Erding Gladiators, the setback comes.

After the home win on Sunday against Geretsried, it was a clear 1: 7 (0: 3, 1: 2, 0: 2) defeat at TSV Peißenberg on Thursday evening.

It was the sixth away defeat in a row.

The personnel situation at the Erdingers had relaxed a little, because Marko Babic and Michael Trox from the regulars were there again, as well as the two Deggendorf licensees Kevin Lengle and Jonas Stern. Coach Thomas Vogl had 15 field players at his disposal, but the two regular defenders Lukas Krämmer and Dominik Wagner had to take on the attack again.

As in the previous games, the Gladiators fell behind early on when the outstanding Athanasios Fissekis was all alone in front of Erding's goalkeeper Christoph Schedlbauer in a Peißenberg attack and overcame him to make it 1-0 (4th). As a result, the great weakness of the gladiators became clearly visible. Namely, while they were wasting chances, the Miners had a nearly one hundred percent yield. Babic missed twice, including a break when he was outnumbered, Trox hit the outside post, Basti Cramer was unlucky with a shot from the blue line, Philipp Michl failed to keeper Korbinian Sertl, and Wagner's shot was blocked at the last moment. On the other hand, a concealed shot from Max Malzatzki made it 2-0 (9th), and Sinan Ondörtoglu easily made it 3-0 (17th).

The middle third then clearly belonged to the Miners. As determined as the Erdinger had gone into the duels in the first third, so cautious they acted now. Peißenberg screwed the lead through a double strike by ex-Tölzers Fissekis, who was involved in six of seven hits in the end, to 5-0 (28th, 32nd), and failed to add more hits in this phase. On the one hand, the Miners were too unfocused in their conclusion, on the other hand, they found their master in Keeper Schedlbauer. But slowly the gladiators got a little braver again and rewarded themselves with a 1: 5 shortly before the end of the third. Mark Waldhausen withdrew, Trox failed with the first margin, but Babic put the second in goal (39th).

The decision had long since been made, and so the hosts only did what was necessary in the final third.

But that was enough to shoot out a 7: 1, which Martin Andrä got with two hits within four minutes (53rd, 57th).

Although the gladiators never gave up, they were much too cumbersome to attack and rarely looked for the direct route to the gate.

So the clear success of the miners was ultimately deserved at this level.
