TSV Jetzendorf and ASV Dachau are fighting for promotion in the District League North.

In the relegation battle, Palzing and Eching are already beaten.

The winter conclusion.

Munich

- "In the beginning it was just nice to be able to play again and pursue your hobby," says Matthias Koston, trainer of SpVgg Kammerberg, looking back on the restart in the summer.

After 19 match days, the teams of the District League North are currently on the well-deserved winter break.

The first half of the season was exhausting for many teams due to postponements and English weeks.

But first the positive: Most of the games could be played and the game plan was mostly adhered to, despite the pandemic that has not yet been overcome.

Only ASV Dachau with 15 and TSV Rohrbach and SV Dornach with 16 completed games lag a little behind.

Time for a first round conclusion.

District League North: Relegated ASV Dachau dominates the league

Most of the league's coaches agree on one thing. "Anyone can beat anyone in the District League North and it is extremely close," says Gerry Lösch, coach of FSV Pfaffenhofen, for example. Only the ASV Dachau is repeatedly referred to as the absolute top favorite for direct promotion. A role assumed by head coach Manuel Haupt's team. “Overall, I am satisfied with the first half series. We have set the course for the promotion, which is still the very clear and stated goal, ”affirmed the ASV coach. The relegated regional league is only in second place in the table during the winter break - one point behind TSV Jetzendorf - but still has three catch-up games up its sleeve. "ASV Dachau will march through", Lösch is certain. Toni Plattner, too,SV Dornach coach, agrees with his colleague: "The front two will make it up among themselves."

With the surprise team of the season, SpVgg Feldmoching, the promotion fight has not yet been written off.

“Jetzendorf and the ASV are the hunted.

With three games less, Dachau will probably not miss anything, but we are only three points behind Jetzendorf.

We feel comfortable in our situation and there is no way we will make it easier for the teams in the second half of the season, ”explains Osman Özturk, sporting director and player at Feldmochinger.

District League North: Six teams only five points apart

There are only seven points between 3rd and 9th place. For these teams - apart from SpVgg Feldmoching - the second half of the season is probably mainly about not letting the gap get smaller and focusing on the next season. "We'll be tweaking a few things with a view to the next season and trying to improve the balance between offensive and defensive," explains Lösch. The FSV Pfaffenhofen currently occupies eighth place in the table. For Lösch, the first half of the year was his first six months at FSV. Before the season he switched from TSV Eching to league competitor. “I am very happy in Pfaffenhofen. The conditions are great, even if the table is not what we wanted. But that has to do in large part with the failure of up to ten service providers, ”explains Lösch. SV Manching, SV Nord Lerchenau, VfB Eichstätt II, FC Schhwabing and SV Dornach are the other teams in the middle of the table.

"We are right where we are."

SpVgg-Kammerberg trainer Matthias Koston on the current table situation.

In the table cellar, six teams are currently fighting to stay in the class.

SVA Palzing and TSV Eching are already slightly behind with eleven points and are already five points behind the first relegation rank.

TSV Eching also parted ways with head coach Michael Schütz shortly before Christmas.

A new coach has not yet been announced.

FC Alte Haide has only one more point.

Munich already reacted to the negative run in the preliminary round.

Coach Alen Ruzak had to leave and was replaced by the duo Robert Kauzinger and Felix Schiffmeyer.

The sporting director Stephan Schober is hoping for a turnaround from the "extremely promising combination".

The SpVgg Kammerberg is currently on one of the two relegation places. The second is the newcomer SV Kasing with 16 points. “We are responsible for our table situation ourselves and are right where we are. We lack experience, especially in the close matches. If there was a table up to the 88th minute, we would be third, ”said Koston, commenting on the current situation. “The games against ASV, Jetzendorf and Dornach are among the highlights for him so far. In all three games we have shown that we can keep up with the top teams. But in all three games we either get equalized in the last minute or lose, ”explains the 31-year-old. According to Koston, the young team should learn from their mistakes in the second half of the season. The direct relegation is the goal.In first place, which entitles them to do so, is currently TSV Rohrbach with three points more and one game less. (kk)
