- Christoph Kammerlander was never really a lucky child. "I've never won anything," says the TSV Perchting-Hadorf soccer coach. He has a sad record when it comes to participating in raffles or competitions. Even with the lottery, he never even managed to tick a proper box. The news that reached him recently was all the more surprising. In an email from the sports tour operator Soccatours, he was informed that his team had won a training camp at the Parc Hotel in Castelnuovo (Italy). The coach of the district classist couldn't believe his luck at first: “At first I thought it was spam or a bad joke.” As it turned out, no one had pissed him off.

Two days of full board await the Perchtiger Kicker in the luxury hostel on Lake Garda, which is also very popular with golfers. Since the offer is aimed at 15 footballers, Kammerlander preferred to calculate the equivalent of 3500 euros. After all, the entire squad of around 30 players should be able to enjoy it, not just for two, but for three full days. "Now I hope that the training camp will also take place," says Kammerlander. He has certain concerns about whether the pandemic will allow TSV to travel south from March 17th to 20th. Almost two years ago, the district classic had already booked a training camp with the same organizer. Because in the spring of 2020 the corona numbers in Italy literally exploded,The Perchtinger decided not to go on the trip and were left with a cost of around 8,000 euros.

"Luck has come back to us," says Kammerlander, who sees the win in the competition as a small compensation for the loss at the time. The club will thank the coach for taking a quiet minute during the lockdown in the spring and taking part in the competition has involved.

Kammerlander has booked rooms for a total of 50 players and accompanying persons. More than half are already reserved. He doesn't worry that the contingent will not be fully used: “Everyone wants to be there.” After all, the footballers expect “optimal conditions” in the five-star hotel, as the coach enthuses. Two brand new natural grass pitches, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, should get the kickers from Perchting going as well as the sports massage and performance diagnostics, which are part of the overall package. “Maybe that's a good omen for next year,” says Kammerlander. He hopes that the training camp will be the initial spark for the sixth in the table in district class 3 in order to get a promotion place.

However, the Pechtinger must first come to Lake Garda.

The organizer has set a deadline for the winner.

The voucher must be redeemed by May next, otherwise it will expire.

So much shouldn't happen if TSV also wants to enjoy its luck.
