On the way down to the half-time break yesterday in St. Petersburg (Thursday), Yannis Sapropoulos was furious that his players made just three fouls while the opponent scored 41 points.
His players internalized the message and came up more aggressive, but that was enough for them to have another dramatic and disappointing loss.
"They played harder than us, but we definitely fought," said Jaylen Reynolds, who led the scenes with 24 points.
"We have a good team and we need to keep running. We need the same energy we had in the second half."
"In the first half we didn't start as we wanted and chased after them. In the second half we got them, but they did a great shot at the end and sometimes it's the basketball," Cameron Taylor added.
"I don't think we were missing anything at the end, we were in the lead and they just managed to score a hard shot."
