Algerian football in shock after the death of a player in the middle of a match

The captain of MC Saïda (Second Division), Sofiane Loukar, died in the middle of a match against ASM Oran, following a head trauma


Algerian football is in mourning this Saturday.

During the match against ASM Oran in Algerian D2, MC Saïda Sofiane Loukar, 30, died of a head trauma.

During an aerial duel, he was the victim of a violent shock to the head.

According to Algerian media, the player returned to the pitch after receiving first aid, before collapsing on the pitch a few minutes later.

Doctors tried to resuscitate him, without success.

The match was stopped.

Upset by this tragedy, the president of the National Amateur Football League (LNFA), Ali Malek, mentioned this tragedy on Channel 3: "He lost his life after an aerial telescoping, but despite the intervention of the doctors, he succumbed to his injury.

We immediately checked his record at the League level and he has no contraindication to playing high-level football.

His record was perfect.

Nice striker and Algerian international Andy Delort also sent his condolences to the family and teammates of the deceased.
