The Guinean Football Federation has announced the withdrawal of players from the country's first team, which is preparing for the African Nations Cup finals in Cameroon early next year.
The federation said in a statement on its official website that defenders Antoine Conte and Florentin Pogba withdrew from the first team due to injury and will be absent until the end of next January at least, according to the results of the medical examinations they underwent.
Conte, who previously played for the France under-21 team before turning to represent Guinea, suffers from an injury he suffered after his recent move to the Romanian club (Universitalia Craiova), while Pogba suffers from a knee injury and a sprained ligaments while playing for his French team Sochaux earlier this month. .
The federation indicated that coach Kaba Diaora had hired two local players, Fodi Camara and Gausso Youssef Sebi, to compensate for the absence of Conte and Pogba.
