Muhammad Salah uploaded a photo of himself celebrating Christmas with his family on his Twitter account yesterday (Saturday), and received many angry reactions from his Muslim followers.

Salah the Egyptian, Liverpool's big star, was seen sitting under a fir tree next to his wife and daughters, in home pajamas in the best tradition of the holiday, and greeted "#MerryChristmas" in honor of the holy day that celebrated the Christian world yesterday, marking the birth of Christ.

Salah, a devout Muslim, did not hesitate to greet his Christian friends and fans, and it turns out that not everyone liked it.

Tens of thousands of comments appeared on the Liverpool scorer's Twitter account, many of them criticizing the "betrayal" of his religion.

"You are a good player, Allah has blessed you with money and fame and the love of people, but remember that the one who gave you all this is able to take it from you in the blink of an eye," wrote one respondent, in response with great support, "You celebrate a day our God is cursed by them ".

Another respondent wrote to him: "How do you pray every day and say their God was not born, and then celebrate the day they claim he was born? I do not understand that."

Another wrote to him: "How horrible is the behavior of a Muslim who abandons his principles and gives up the tradition that sets him apart and makes him superior, in order to beautify his figure in the eyes of his haters!".

Another respondent wrote to Salah, doubting seriously doubting laughing: "You are a Muslim person, and you are setting an example for Muslim children, and now you are converting your religion and your principles, and celebrating Jewish holidays! Go to hell."

Alongside the protests, many were able to appreciate Salah’s gesture and his ability to bless his “Christian brothers,” and appreciated his openness to the various religions.
