He won by ten seconds ahead of a certain Luka Mezgec (BikeExchange), also present at this meeting and Matevz Govekar (Tirol KTM Cycling Team).
Wink of fate, it is the same Mezgec who had beaten him during his last cyclo-cross race, two years ago.

For his part, the Belgian Wout Van Aert notched his second victory of the season in the Cyclo-cross World Cup Sunday in Dendermonde in Belgium, behind Mathieu Van Der Poel by 49 seconds, who signed his return to the circuit.
It was the first confrontation between the two men since the World Championships in Ostend won by the Dutch against his Belgian rival eleven months ago.
