Robert Lewandowski is one of the most important players for FC Bayern.

At Christmas he sent a telling picture from an airplane.

Munich - FC Bayern * is finally getting some peace over the Christmas holidays.

There was really a lot going on on Säbener Strasse.

The vaccination discussion and subsequent corona infection by Joshua Kimmich.

The chaotic annual general meeting because of the Qatar sponsorship - and of course various transfer rumors about one or the other Bayern star.

There was also a lot of talk about Robert Lewandowski *.

On the one hand, because he didn't seem really happy since the Ballon d'Or farce at the beginning of December, and on the other hand, the very tricky contract situation of the world footballer was a topic of conversation.

Because: Lewy's contract expires in 2023.

Does FC Bayern want to extend their superstar?

And if so, how long?

Since Lewandowski is already 33, the record champions should only offer his attacker a one-year contract, which is customary for kickers over 30 at Bayern.

The Pole could interpret that as a low appreciation, because despite his advanced age, Lewandowski continues to score as he wants.

In 2021 he equalized Gerd Müller's next record and scored 42 hits in the calendar year.

But before Lewy thinks about his sporting future in Munich, he first sent a picture of his departure into the world.

The attacker posted a photo of himself and his entire family in a private jet on Instagram.

Under the post he only wrote: "Off we go" (German: "We'll be gone").

It is not yet known where the Lewandowski family's Christmas trip is going.

Ms. Anna was of course on board as well as the children.

Only recently, ex-FCB boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expressed his last wish to Lewandowski's address.

For this he still needed the consent of Lewy's wife.

So far, he doesn't seem to have received it either.

Many FCB fans will hope that Lewandowski's departure from Munich is not a hidden message.

Hopefully Lewy will find some peace between the years.

The Bayern stars were released from coach Julian Nagelsmann until the beginning of January.
