The professionals in England plow through their full year-end program despite Corona, and the Spanish league is also getting back into business.

The Bundesliga clubs are thinking about the upcoming second half of the season.

Berlin - For the professionals of the Bundesliga, the Christmas break is not long, the preparation for the second half of the season is already starting this week.

For the colleagues in England - who don't have a winter break anyway - and Spain this week it's all about points.

Training starts

There can be no question of a relaxing winter break.

Just nine days after their last Bundesliga game, the two promoted Greuther Fürth and Bochum start preparing for the second half of the season this Monday.

One day later, Arminia Bielefeld follows.

A full matchday was planned for this week, but the fixtures scheduled for Tuesday between Leeds United and Aston Villa and between Arsenal FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers were canceled on Sunday due to corona.

After the very welcome forced break at Christmas, Liverpool FC with coach Jürgen Klopp will compete at cup winners Leicester City, Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea team is expecting Brighton & Hove Albion.

Foreign football

In addition to England, they also play in Spain - even on New Year's Eve.

Then Valencia FC meets Espanyol Barcelona.
