Sharon Davidovich's article about Diego Maradona (Sports 1)
The late Diego Maradona's brother, Hugo Maradona, died today (Tuesday) after suffering a heart attack.
Hugo was a footballer himself (and you can read about his career here) and he passed away 13 months after his brother who was one of the greatest footballers in history.
He was 52.
Like his brother who was 9 years older than him, Hugo Maradona also started his career at Argentinos Juniors.
In 1987 he moved to Italian Ascoli and later also played for Rayo Vallecano and Rapid Vienna.
Unlike his brother, his career did not rise and he also migrated to Venezuela, Uruguay, Japan and finally Canada.
He retired in 1999, when he was 30 years old.

Although considered a great talent and wore the uniform of Argentina's boys team 11 times, Hugo failed to break through and in Argentina hung it on the conditions he won compared to his brother.
An Argentine journalist was once asked about the differences between them and replied: "One kicks with his right foot and the other with his left foot, but it's not just that. At 16 Diego would go to training with torn shoes. When Hugo was 16, they would take him to training with Mercedes."
Unlike Diego, Hugo Maradona retired to the United States for a quiet and anonymous life, while also coaching the Puerto Rico Islanders in the USL for two years.
He opened a bakery with his wife, ran summer football camps for children and after a few years moved to Naples.
A few weeks ago he managed to produce a training camp for children aged 9-15 in Malta in collaboration with a local group.
This morning he was found dead at his home in Naples.
