One sportswoman in particular deserved great praise.

Freising

- The indoor season is soon just around the corner for competitive athletes from Freising.

The young talents of the LC Freising are already eagerly looking forward to the state championships in January and are preparing with an intensive winter build-up.

Sprint tests under competition conditions are not neglected either.

After a very successful participation in the Sprint Cup in Fürth, the protégés of trainer Gaby Hagl wanted to accelerate again on the short distances in the Garching sprint tunnel.

30 meters flying, 30 meters from the high start and 50 meters from the low start was the program of the LAG's traditional winter sprint test.

Emma Pflüger puts a big exclamation mark

Above all, Emma Pflüger set a big exclamation mark: In Fürth, she already shone with the third-best time over 150 meters in the U16. Now she has proven that she has what it takes to deliver on the short haul. She completed the day's program as the second fastest youngster. With 4.89 seconds she undercut the daily performance of her training colleague Lina Bachmann by a hundredth, who was fastest in fourth place in the 4x100 meter relay of the LCF girls last season.

And Pflüger went one better: with 7.29 seconds she cracked the time of training partner Johanna Billmeir, who was the starting runner of the relay, over the 50 meters.

“Emma's increase in form is stark.

You can see that the regular sprint training and the targeted strength units are already bearing fruit, ”praises trainer Gaby Hagl.

Emma has tasted blood and with her impressive sprint times she recommends herself for the relay quartet, which has a good chance of being at the forefront in the outdoor season.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Sprint ace Lina Bachmann was the fastest woman at the end of the day.

In her first competition in preparation, she showed that she can build on her achievements from the outdoor season 2021.

Their times - 3.56 seconds (30 meters flying), 4.90 seconds (30 meters high start) and 7.27 seconds (50 meters low start) - could only be undercut by the boys in the overall standings.

Strong times give hope for a successful indoor season

The podium for the female youth U 16 was completed by training colleague Johanna Billmeir.

She, too, could rely on her nimble feet and completed the short distances in remarkable times: 3.68 seconds (30 meters flying), 4.94 seconds (30 meters high start) and 7.33 seconds (50 meters low start).

Her training colleague Mara Schützbach was able to look forward to first place in the U 18 age group.

In the end, she was ahead of the game over all three distances (3.81, 4.98 and 7.64 seconds).

In the U14 age group, the LCF was represented by Ella Rappel and Nico Bachmann, Lina's brother.

Nico mastered his first sprint test with flying colors and secured a good fifth place with his daily performances (3.86, 5.10 and 7.75 seconds).

Ella Rappel already celebrated her Sprint Cup premiere in Fürth and set a personal best over the 30 meters flying in the Garching sprint tunnel.

With her performances - 4.31, 5.63 and 8.58 seconds - she just barely missed third place.
