Paulo Sousa, a former Maccabi Tel Aviv coach, is at the center of a storm in Polish football.
The 51-year-old Portuguese has in recent days applied to the Polish association in order to resolve the contract with the local team he signed less than a year ago, in order to move to Flamengo from which he received an offer.
At the moment the Poles are piling up difficulties and opponents, but in Brazil it is estimated that the move will be implemented and that Susa will guide the luxury club in the end.
Either way, in Poland it is likely to leave scorched earth, and many people are angry.
Sousa's surprise move, appointed to coach Poland's World Cup squad, drew harsh criticism.
The president of the Polish association accused him of "extremely irresponsible behavior", and according to Robert Lewandowski's agent, the Bayern Munich star was also surprised by the move and injured by the Portuguese coach.
According to his agent, "Robert did not expect such a move and was left shocked and disappointed."

Players on the team this morning visited Sousa anonymously in the local media, and one of them was quoted as saying: "He made me such a loser. I defended him so many times, I stood up to our day on hard days, and in the end he goes and does such a thing. I lost the rest of the respect that was I go to him. "
The storm reached as far as the table of Polish President Andrzej Duda himself.
"I was amazed at the news of our national team coach. I did not believe that such a thing could happen before a tournament as important as the World Cup. It is completely bizarre, and the situation is now very problematic for our national team."
Souza, for his part, hopes to leverage the offer from the Brazilian luxury club for success in a team of a size he has not yet recognized as a coach, despite his extensive experience in teams such as Fiorentina, Bordeaux and Basel.
