All Star Game: who will try and maybe win the 100,000 euro shoot?

2021-12-29T07:22:01.915Z

One of the main attractions, this Wednesday at the Accor Arena, is the 100,000 euro shoot at the end of the evening. The principle is simple: a spe

There is the game, the attractions, the music, the staging and then, at the All Star Game, there is THE shoot.

The shot that everyone is waiting for.

At the end of the third quarter of the All-Star Game, all the lights will go out.

Only the white lamp of a projector will go around the room and the crowd.

The beam will suddenly stop on a spectator, man or woman, chosen completely at random.

He or she will then have the right to go down on the floor to try the shoot of his life: the famous shot at 100,000 euros.

The sum will end up in his pocket at the end of the evening if and only if, by shooting from the middle of the field, the lucky winner scores a basket.

No room for error, there is only one single attempt.

In other words a stroke of poker, often a phenomenal stroke of luck even for a seasoned basketball player.

Touching the basket is not really easy

The attraction has existed since 2007. And, in 13 editions, the challenge has only been successful once, in 2013. Basketball player in Morigny in Essonne, Thomas Bérau (28 years old at the time) had slammed the shoot of his dreams to become the hero of the evening.

"In a minute, my life changed, said the lucky one later.

I have been around the TVs, websites, radio stations and newspapers interviewing me a lot.

Tony Parker called me!

"

While unemployed, the agile winner was able to repay the loan for his apartment, afford a car and spoil his loved ones.

But Thomas Bérau remains… unique.

Because succeeding in shooting at 100,000 euros turns out to be an incredible feat.

To pocket the sum, you have to know how to manage the pressure to reveal yourself in front of 16,000 spectators.

You have to be lucky and practice basketball a bit, which is not always the case with the chosen people.

Since 2015, only "air ball" (the ball does not touch the circle or the board) have completed the coveted shot.

In addition to the successful shot in 2013, only four shooters in 15 years have managed to touch the basket without returning the ball.

Will Thomas Bérau have a successor this Wednesday evening?

If you are in the room, you have a one in 16,000 chance of being selected and then an equal chance of getting the ball into the circle.

Good luck.
