Freising

- The Radfahrerverein Freising-Neustift (RVN) can look back on an extremely successful year.

Especially in the field of mountain bike youth, the club has grown enormously.

Despite the tense and, above all, uncertain situation, almost all the planned races could take place - and these were mainly used by the RVN mountain bike kids.

The racing kids took part in more than 24 events in Bavaria and Austria.

The racing series Bayernliga, Eldorado-Kids-, Austrians-Youngsters- and Tirol-Cup as well as smaller races were driven.

Especially in the Eldorado-Kids-Cup, the participants of the RVN led the valuation and ultimately brought gold, silver and bronze to Freising.

Four gold and two silver - what more could you ask for?

Cup winners were Linda Helm (U 7), Valentin Held (U 9), Ida Siebrecht (U 9) and Tobias Remmele (U 13).

The silver medal went to Egon Siebrecht (U 11).

Alexander van der Geest (U 17) and Hans Siebrecht (U 7) achieved bronze in the overall standings.

Tizian Seidel and Liam Helm reached tenth and eleventh place.

The Tirol Cup was also led by Ida and Egon Siebrecht.

And also in the Bayernliga (from U 13) the youngsters from RVN showed what they can do: Tobias Remmele finished fourth, Emil Helm reached fifth place and Rafael Seidel came eleventh.

RVN Freising can proudly record a German runner-up in 2021: Egon Siebrecht took silver in the "Trial" discipline.

Great training opportunities on cold winter days

Thus, the young up-and-coming drivers go to winter training with a successful annual balance sheet in their luggage.

Here the club has new opportunities to practice even on cold days, because since September there has been a weekly training offer in the school sports hall of the Josef-Hofmiller-Gymnasium.

And that gives the girls and boys a lot of joy, according to the club.

The first race dates for 2022 are already set

The training primarily trains speed, strength and balance.

In addition, thanks to Simon Hönnebeck, managing director of Snaply GmbH, RVN Freising has been given the former garden center of the former Praktiker store in Attaching.

The cycling club is very grateful for this opportunity, as indoor training is also possible here in the winter months.

We are now looking forward to 2022 with great anticipation. The first race dates are already on the calendar.
