The "miners" of TSV Peißenberg are challenged in the next two games at home.

They are each favorite, but coach Christian Kratzmeir warns.

Peißenberg - The Peißenberg "Miners" still have to play six closely timed games until the end of the main round in the Bayern League. Coach Christian Kratzmeir's team is largely spared major travel stresses because they play five games at home. The beginning is this Thursday (8 p.m.) with the appearance of the ESC Dorfen. On Sunday (5.30 p.m.) VfE Ulm / Neu-Ulm will be a guest at the Ammer.

On paper, two absolutely solvable tasks for the Peissenbergers, who, as third, have more than twice as many points as the two opponents combined.

"Due to the table situation and also because of the goal statistics, we actually have to win both games," said Kratzmeir.

His squad is close to 100 goals.

Dorfen and Ulm have only scored that many hits in total.

"Against such supposedly weaker teams, it's the toughest games," warns Kratzmeir.

This season, the "Miners" performed poorly if they took their opponents lightly. "We have to get something like that out of our heads," says Kratzmeir and his coaching team are challenged to take countermeasures. "But the boys also have to motivate themselves accordingly and play their game for 60 minutes."

Against the Dorfener, who had to deal with corona cases in the team several times, the "Miners" coach expects a fight-heavy game. "Because the ESC plays extremely tough ice hockey," Kratzmeir remembers the first leg, which his team won 4-2. The first comparison with the "Danube Devils" from Ulm / Neu-Ulm was clearer. The Peißenberger prevailed with 8: 1. The Ulm team, who found it very difficult to get into the season, not least because of the closure of their own hall in autumn, have so far only recorded two wins and suffered many major defeats.

In terms of personnel, the "Miners" will do little compared to the previous week.

Defender Martin Lidl (match penalty) is still suspended.

Tobias Maier, who last made his comeback with a little ice age against Erding, will be challenged again.

"He is normal in training and we will build him in," says Kratzmeir with a view to the defense veteran.

Maybe Tobias Estermaier will also return.

"We have to wait for the final training to see how he's doing," explains Kratzmeir.

Manuel Singer is now back on the ice.

After his severe muscle injury, however, he is only in build-up training.

“I'm not counting on him before the end of January,” said Kratzmeir.
