Premier League: 16 English Championship matches have been postponed in total since December 9, including three of the nine scheduled for the traditional Boxing Day, December 26.
Italy: The Serie A Udinese-Salernitana match scheduled for Tuesday, December 21 in the first division has been postponed, as has the one of December 19 between Monza and Benevento in Serie B, which was the first postponement of the season for the top Italian level.
Europa League Conference: the Rennes-Tottenham confrontation scheduled for Thursday, December 9 has been canceled due to cases of Covid-19 within the English team (Rennes 3-0 victory on the green carpet).
Handball
Golden League: The game between Denmark and Egypt scheduled for January 9 has been canceled.
Denmark and Norway will not be making the trip to France for the friendly tournament which is due to be held January 7-9.
Ice Hockey
NHL: 70 North American Championship games have been postponed.
NHL players will not be making their way to the Beijing Games, with franchises keen to take advantage of this period (February 6-22) to catch up on late matches.
U-20 World Championships: The 2022 edition in Canada has been stopped, the international federation said, after a third match in the competition had to be canceled.
Cricket
The series of test matches between the United States and Ireland scheduled to take place in the United States was called off at the end of December.
Winter Olympics
The Beijing Olympics (February 4-20, 2022) will take place in front of an exclusively Chinese audience, with foreign spectators being excluded from the event.
Rugby
European Cups: the seven Franco-British matches scheduled for December 18 and 19 in the two European Rugby Cups have been postponed due to travel restrictions between France and Great Britain, in addition to the Bristol clash -Llanelli.
British Championship: Newcastle-Sale has been canceled due to numerous cases of Covid-19 among the Sharks.
FA Cup: the poster between Bath and Exeter, scheduled for December 29, has been canceled as the Bath club cannot field enough capable players.
French Championship: four matches scheduled for December 26 and 27 have been postponed.
