Niko Kovac lost his job at AS Monaco.
The ex-Bayern coach had a strong first season - but it's over again.
Monaco - A quick exit for an old friend: Niko Kovac * was dismissed as coach of AS Monaco after only one and a half years.
This is reported by the French news
agency AFP
with reference to sources within the club.
The former coach of FC Bayern * had taken over the job on the Mediterranean Sea in summer 2020, his contract ran until 2023. Kovac (50) had come third with Monaco in the 2020/21 season.
The team, which also includes Kevin Volland and Alexander Nübel, is currently in sixth place.
In August Monaco also failed in the play-offs for the Champions League * to Shakhtar Donetsk.
