The Syrian weightlifting team continues its brilliance in the Arab championship held in Iraq, adding four new medals to its tally in the third day's competitions.
The new medals came through the weightlifter Ali Al-Helou, who won three silver medals in the 89-kg weight competitions by snatching, netting and total in the junior category. He also won a bronze medal in the netter in the youth category.
Our team won four bronze medals on the second day through Al-Miqdad Hassan, with a weight of 81 kg for the under-17 youth, including 3 medals in the snatch of 103 kg and the runner 130 kg and in the total of 233 kg and the fourth in the snatch for the youth category 103 kg.
Our team player Jaafar Mia won two gold medals at the opening of the tournament in the netter competitions in the junior and youth categories, a silver in total for the youth category, a bronze in the net for the men’s category, and two bronze in the total for juniors and men.
