Danny Abdia after his season-high record against Utah (Wizards official website)

After a period in which it is faltering and far from convincing, Washington hopes to take advantage of a streak of 12 home games out of the next 14 to get back on track. Tonight (Thursday-Friday) the streak began on the right foot, with a 93-110 win over Cleveland that put the team back on a positive balance (17:18). Both teams lacked a long line of players - some in isolation, some injured - but the Wizards showed superiority mainly thanks to who came back: Bradley Bill, who missed the last three games while in isolation, and looks sharp and zero in his comeback game. He finished with 29 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds, and made the main difference between the teams.

Danny Abdia recorded a fickle game, with better and worse moments.

The return of Bill and Cantabius Caldwell Pop brought the Israeli forward back to the bench after opening in the top five and not impressing in the loss to Miami, and this time he got 24 minutes during which he provided 13 points (5 of 12 from the field, 1 of 5 from three, 2 from 2 free throws), 6 rebounds , Assist and loss.

In the last seven games Abdia has reached double digits five times in the points column, and tonight he returned there after two slightly less assertive games on the offensive side.

The Wizards, who missed Spencer Dinwiddie, Monterey Harrell, Raul Neto, Aron Holiday and Davis Bartans, failed to escape in the first half against the Cubs, who also missed important players like Jarrett Allen, Darius Garland, Colin Sexton and Ricky Rubio. The first quarter was tight, with Abdia coming in during it, scoring 6 quick points with two fine penetrations as he took advantage of Kevin Love's slow legs on defense. In the second quarter the Wizards continued to lead by a small margin, despite confusing minutes from Abdia during which he missed 7 shots in a row, some of them completely free from outside the arc.

But Washington continued to enjoy quality and team play from Bradley Bill, who was also the engine behind another escape in the third quarter that ended in a 21:33 for the Wizards.

Abdia managed to forget the weak second quarter with a quick recovery, with Wes Ansald Jr. giving him an intriguing and unusual role in light of the big shortcomings on the roster, placing him in the center-back position on offense and the chin position on defense.

The Israeli looks not bad in these minutes, as he manages the game on the one hand and tries to narrow the steps of the promising inside player of the Cubs Owen Mobley on the other.

Either way, the final quarter was for the record only, and the Cubs have suffered a third loss in the last four games as expected.

He too was at his best.

Aside from Bill carrying the Wizards on his back, Kyle Kozma was also at his best with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Coldwell Pop who came back on his own from isolation added 12, and Daniel Gaford contributed 11, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Cleveland was led by Kevin Love with 24 points and 11 rebounds and Owen Mobley with 21 and 5, but that was not enough in light of the big gaps.

The Cubs will be hoping for a boost in the coming days, after it became clear tonight that they are in advanced negotiations with the Lakers for a trade that will land Rajon Rondo in Ohio, who will step into the shoes of injured Ricky Rubio and finish the season.

Washington, for its part, hopes to generate momentum with another home game on the night between Saturday and Sunday, this time against powerful Chicago.
