Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is dissatisfied with his club Manchester United's season so far, even after moving to new coach Ralf Rangnick.

"I'm not happy with what we're achieving at Man United," wrote the 36-year-old Portuguese on Instagram at the turn of the year to a photo of himself and his family.

"None of us are happy, I'm sure of that."

The English soccer champions finished sixth in the Premier League at the turn of the year, but have played fewer games than the first five teams in the league.

Manchester United will play his next game next Monday (6.30 p.m. / Sky) against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The gap to leaders Manchester City is currently 22 points with three games less for United.

Under Ralf Rangnick, the Red Devils have been unbeaten since the beginning of December and had won 3-1 against Burnley FC at the end of the year, but before that they had a disappointing performance at 1-1 at Newcastle United.

"We know that we have to work harder, play better and deliver a lot more than we currently do," said Ronaldo.

The ex-European champions moved back to United from Juventus Turin in the summer, where he had already played from 2003 to 2009.

Since then, the attacker has scored eight goals in 15 Premier League games.

Rangnick recently praised his superstar and the rest of the Manchester United offensive on Thursday: "It's important to have these two players on board," said Rangnick, referring to the Portuguese and his strike partner Edison Cavani.

Ronaldo had previously scored the 3-0 in a 3-1 (3-1) win against Burnley FC.

For Rangnick it was the fifth game without a defeat in a row since he took office at United in early December.

Most recently, the Red Devils had disappointed at Newcastle United, and there was speculation about unrest in the team around Ronaldo.
