Nothing is currently going on with the Peißenberg "Miners".
After corona cases were discovered and confirmed in the team during routine tests, the home game on Sunday, January 2, against the "Danube Devils" has now been canceled.
Peißenberg - The Peißenberg "Miners" also had to cancel the home game planned for Sunday, January 2nd, 5:30 pm.
The reason for this are several corona cases within the team.
It was not clear which variant it was until Saturday afternoon.
Cancellation of the home game against Ulm- / Neu-Ulm
In the course of routine tests within the team before the home game against ESC Dorfen on Thursday, quick tests gave two positive results.
That's why the game was canceled.
Now, according to the association, there have been further positive results.
Those affected are "also largely symptom-free", according to the "Miners" on their homepage.
However, the findings, which have now been confirmed by PCR tests, did not indicate which corona variant it was.
For security reasons, TSV Peißenberg decided to cancel the game against the "Donau Devils" planned for Sunday.
"In this respect, the club has to play it safe, because if the Omikron variant is found, the entire team would actually have to be in quarantine according to the latest regulations," said the "Miners".
The Peissenbergers now have to wait.
They hope that they will be informed on Monday which variant (s) the positive results are "and the further procedure will be communicated".
It is "very surprising that if the PCR test result is positive, the variant is not communicated immediately and the players, supervisors, coaches and those responsible more or less have to decide for themselves what to do," says the department.
Even with the Bavarian state government's Corona hotline, no one could be reached with regard to a decision-making aid, "although accessibility is propagated seven days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. - including Sundays and public holidays", according to the "Miners".
