Syria's beach volleyball team beat Saudi Arabia today by two sets to one in the West Asian Championship held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Our team advanced in the first set by 21-14, while the Saudi team excelled in the second set 24-22, so that our team decided the third set in its favour, with a score of 15-10.
Seven teams are participating in the tournament, divided into two groups, the first of which included our team consisting of players Ibrahim Hindawi and Yasser Al-Hussein, along with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, while the second group included the Sultanate of Oman, Jordan, Palestine and Iraq.
Our team will meet tomorrow at eight in the morning with its Qatari counterpart.
The top four teams qualify for the international tournament, which will be held on the fifth of this month at the stadiums of the Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence in Doha.
