Coupe de France: royal victory of Versailles, qualified for the eighth

2022-01-02T15:24:12.875Z

The Versaillais (N2) have largely won (4-0) against La Roche-sur-Yon (N3) and continue on their beautiful course.

There was hardly any suspense at the Stade Montbauront in Versailles.

In front of 2000 spectators and in a much more fervent atmosphere than usual, Youssef Chibhi's men blew up La Roche-sur-Yon (4-0).

The difference is made very quickly in the first act where the Parisians quickly lead 2-0 thanks to a brace from center forward Christopher Ibayi.

Moments later Makan Traoré worsened the score (3-0, 26 ') with a magnificent volley after a missed penalty on La Roche's side.

A hundred Vendée supporters, installed in a small kop, had also made the trip to Yvelines but could only recognize the superiority of the premises who will add a 4th goal shortly before the break.

The second half is just a formality for the Yvelinois who will be content to manage this lead in front of a quieter audience.

After a beautiful communion with the Versaillais public, the players return to the locker room in the traditional post-success cries of joy.

Place now has a historic round of 16 for a club that has never reached this stage of the competition.
