Washington's brutal loss tonight against Chicago (120: 119), a basket with Damar Drusen's buzzer, was another step in Danny Abdia's climb to the NBA's high levels, even though he was mediocre on offense and faced tough defensive tasks.
"He's just getting better," Wizards star Bradley Bill complimented him after the game, who also gave Abdia all four assists for field goals he scored (10 points in total).
Things were said even though Abdia was blocked during a critical run of the game and came out with six fouls a little less than a minute to go.
"Danny is solidifying his identity as a NBA player," Bill added, "playing in this league is still new to him, but he's gaining confidence and getting better."
Although Abdia struggled against Drusen, and as is well known being tasked with keeping the best player of any Washington rival - who often celebrates at his expense - almost constant, Bill insisted on defending him and concluded: "He is one of the best guards our team has."

The Washington Post complimented Abdia and claimed he was "wonderful on defense", and his coach Wes Ansald Jr. had some reservations about it: "A young player must be focused. Whistles are whistled against him for offenses easily, he must know how to move, how to put his body "React in time. Danny will learn from this game, it will help him get better in the future."
With the Corona blow plaguing the entire league, alongside injuries to players from the start of the season, Abdia has one column of statistics above them all - he is currently the only Wizards player to be a partner in any of its games this season.
