At the end of a professional process conducted by the swimming association, Carmel Levitan was appointed coach of the youth team (up to age 18 for boys and up to age 17 for girls) and Jonathan Kopalev was appointed coach of the cadet team (up to age 16 boys up to age 14 girls).

The appointments were made through a call, in which the coaches submitted their candidacies, after which a selection committee interviewed the leading candidates and made the final selection.

The committee was composed of the chairman of the swimming association, Miki Halika, the sports director, Ehud Segal, and the chairman of the professional and development committee, Assaf Maimon.

Carmel Levitan is the coach of the Center for Excellence for Youth of the Swimming Association at the Wingate Institute, and even before that he served for years as the head coach of Maccabi PM Reut.
