The Troyes club (Aube) announced on Monday the arrival of Bruno Irles as a new coach, four days after the departure of Laurent Batlles.
The new Aube technician, who was still on the Quevilly-Rouen (L 2) bench on Sunday during the defeat (3-1) in the Coupe de France against Monaco, has signed up for 18 months, said Estac. in a press release.
At 46, the former Monaco defender will have his first experience as a technician in the elite after trips to Arles-Avignon, Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova and Pau.
He also worked on the Rock, where he was in charge of the U 17 of the Principality club for six years then of the reserve.
He notably coached PSG star Kylian Mbappé, with whom the relationship was complicated.

Fifteenth in Ligue 1 with one point ahead of the first relegation, Troyes is one of the two promoted from this championship with Clermont.
He notably hired the world champion Adil Rami this summer.
