An intense week in England with three Premier League rounds in one week comes to an end tonight (Monday, 19:30, Sport1), with Manchester United hosting Wolves in a game that will close the 21st round. The Red Devils have recovered from a disappointing 1-1 draw at Newcastle last Tuesday with a 1-3 draw at Burnley in the team's first home game after about three weeks, and they will try to avoid a Premier League loss to coach Ralph Rangnick, cling to fifth-placed West Ham and record nine consecutive unbeaten games in all competitions .
Portuguese Bruno Fernandez was suspended in the last game, but did not return to the squad but waited on the bench and the captain's armband went to Cristiano Ronaldo. At the center of the defense is Rafael Varane, who erred against Newcastle and in the previous game was substituted in favor of Eric Bay, alongside the forgotten Phil Jones, who has not played since January 2020 - two full years.
Wolves are one of the best defensive teams in the Premier League, having conceded just 14 goals in their 18 games, and if they beat Old Trafford and Manchester United in general for the first time since April 2019, they will narrow the gap between them to just three points.
Wolves have not played at all since the 0-0 draw against Chelsea on 19 December following verified Corona and staff injuries.
