After waiting over six months - Kyrie Irving returns to play basketball.
The Brooklyn Nets guard, who was injured in the final playoffs and remains out of the Nets' roster so far this season due to his refusal to get vaccinated, is expected to make his Wednesday-Thursday away game against the Indiana Pacers, according to Athletic Reporter Shams Charania.

As a reminder, New York State ruled that unvaccinated players were not allowed to play, so Irving could not take part in the team's home games.
In light of this, the Nets decided to disable Irving completely, but recently there has been a turnaround and the Big Apple have decided to return him to the squad.
The Guard's return has been postponed due to his entry into the Corona Protocol, but now the debut seems closer than ever.
Irving is still unable to attend the team's home games, as well as the away games against the New York Knicks (since both teams are in the same city) and against the Toronto Raptors, as Canada bans unvaccinated people from entering the country.
Out of the 47 games left for the Nets until the playoffs, the guard will only be able to take part in 21 games, as long as the guidelines in the various cities remain as they are.

For the Nets, who have been marked as favorites to win the championship since the start of the season, it is a significant reinforcement that will complete the "Big 3" they dream of at the club, as last season Irving also had little to do with James Harden and Kevin Durant.
Brooklyn is ranked second in the East, one game below the Chicago Bulls, with a record of 23 wins and 11 losses.
Tonight the team will host the Memphis Grizzlies, and Irving of course will not be able to play given the fact that it is a home game.
