Denmark's soccer star Christian Eriksen wants to continue his soccer career in spite of his cardiac arrest at the EM in the previous summer and has declared participation in the soccer World Cup in Qatar as a goal.

»I want to be active at the World Cup in Qatar, that's been my idea for a long time.

This is my goal, a dream, «said the 29-year-old in an interview with the Danish TV channel DR1.

Eriksen thanked in the interview for the great participation after his collapse, in which "I was dead five minutes".

He was overwhelmed by the mail and the flowers that reached him afterwards in the hospital.

He still receives daily letters in which he is encouraged.

Eriksen collapsed on the pitch in the Danes' first group game at the European Championship against Finland and had to be revived.

A defibrillator was used for him in the hospital - because it is forbidden to practice sport in Serie A, his contract with Inter Milan was terminated.

He's currently looking for a new club: “Physically I'm in good shape again.

I want to prove that what happened at the EM was and is unique.

My heart is not an obstacle. "
