Mesut Özil apparently wants to buy a Turkish third division club.
The Fenerbahce professional would not even have to dig deep into his pocket.

Corum is the capital of the province of the same name around 200 kilometers northeast of the Turkish capital Ankara.
The club Corum FK was founded in 1997 and plays in the TFF 3rd Lig, the lowest professional league in Turkey.
The club have ambitions to move up to the second division, but are currently only sixth.

of a call Özil made to the previous president Özcan, saying that he had "
checked out
the details": "The contact came through Irfan Can Kahveci, who plays with Özil at Fenerbahce * and comes from Çorum."

Mesut Özil wants to buy Corum FK - for 1.3 million euros
But what does such a club actually cost? Obviously, Özil doesn't have to dig deep into his pocket. Ex-President Özcan is asking for 20 million Turkish lira, which corresponds to an amount of around 1.3 million euros. No problem for Özil, who has made a lot of money at clubs like Real Madrid * or Arsenal FC *. At Fenerbahce, Özil sacks three million euros net per year.
The purchase of Corum would not be Özil's first stake in a football club.
In the summer he secured shares in the Mexican first division club Necaxa.
Before he gets into the club business, however, he wants to play a little football.
A year ago he switched to Fenerbahce as a bearer of hope, but is only fourth in the Süper Lig with the club from Istanbul and is already 14 points behind leaders Trabzonspor.
