Dubai - After their triumph at the military world championships in parachuting in Qatar with a total of 15 podium places, several members of the Altenstadt sports promotion group were once again in action in the Middle East.

The Altenstadters showed that their successes at the military world championship before were no coincidence and got several top results.

Stefan Wiesner dominates in individual jumping

In the team competition in the target jumping, however, it was not enough for the first set to a podium place.

The team - consisting of the Sergeants Christoph Zahler, Christian Kautzmann, Kai Erthel, Stefan Wiesner and Sergeant Robin Griesheimer - ended up in sixth place among 19 teams after eight rounds.

In the same line-up, the Altenstadter won the title at the World Cup.

In Dubai the quintet came to a total deviation of 35 centimeters.

The team "Italy II" won the race with a deviation of 17 centimeters.

The Czech Republic came second (22) ahead of the “Russia I” team (30).

In the battle for placements in the respective individual rankings, after eight rounds in Dubai there was still a semi-final and a final round on the program for the best 16. The multiple world champion Stefan Wiesner played his experience and class there. With a deviation of only two centimeters, he went into the two finals as the leader. Wiesner no longer gave up the top position. Like his biggest competitors, he added another centimeter in the semifinals. In the final jump he once again managed a "zero" (the target point has a diameter of only two centimeters) and thus made his victory in front of the Spaniard Christian Molo Gonzalez (4) as well as Dmitri Maksimov (Russia / 6) and Alessandro Rugeri (Italy) / 6) perfect. From the Germans, Kai Erthel made it into the top ten.He finished sixth with a deviation of nine centimeters. In the two finals he managed two "noughties".

Victory in the juniors: Nils Kammer (back, Wednesday) was the best with a deviation of 13 centimeters.

Sergeant Tatjana Gustke started in a team with women from several nations.

There she was second best within the team with a deviation of nine centimeters.

In the individual, Gustke made it to the finals so easily.

There, however, she had to accept a total of five centimeters deviation.

As fourth out of 23 participants, she narrowly missed the podium.

In the World Cup, Gustke had won the overall women's ranking for the second time in a row this season.

This year she was tied with the Swiss Erica Franz.

Sergeant Nils Kammer had a great success at the end of the season: He won the junior ranking by superiority.

In the two finals he jumped with a zero and a deviation of one centimeter by far the best.

Kammer (13) was eight centimeters ahead of the runner-up.

In the team competition, the soldier in Dubai was part of the German “Paratec Factory Team”.

The team achieved a remarkable result with eighth place.

Kammer, Sascha Lasotta, Gerd Brandecker, Jörg Gramberg and Thomas Schneider together had a deviation of 43 centimeters.
